Barney’s Cedar Plank Salmon
Servings: six
Ingredients:
6 salmon fillets
2 tablespoons soy sauce
2 tablespoons lemon juice
2 tablespoons oriental marinade (lee kum lee)
2 tablespoons dill, chopped
Kosher salt and pepper
1 teaspoon onion powder
Lemon wedges
Special Equipment – 1-2 cedar planks
Directions:
Soak the cedar plank in a 9×13 Pyrex dish for 2 hours, turning midway through.
Preheat grill. If using a gas grill, use the indirect heat method.
In a small bowl, combine the soy, lemon juice and lee kum lee. In another small bowl, combine the salt, pepper and onion powder. Sprinkle the fillets with the dry seasoning. Baste the fillets with the soy marinade. Top with the dill.
Place fillets on cedar plank and place on grill. Close the lid and grill for approximately 5 minutes. Serve with lemon wedges.
Note
Cedar planks add a lot of flavor to this dish, but if you don’t have one, no worries. Just cook the salmon on a grill or grill rack.
