Ponder well on this point: the pleasant hours of our life are all connected by a more or less tangible link, with some memory of the table~Charles Pierre Monselet

With a past career in advertising and marketing over a span of 20 years, everything from ad agencies to owning my own unique marketing company, communication has always been my “thing”. But life happens and suddenly, I found myself faced with a new unexpected life challenge.
In the spring of 2010, my 56 year-old groom of 33 years was diagnosed with renal cancer. Thanks to modern medicine, he recovered from surgery and we began the search for how to improve our lifestyle including eating healthy and taking better care of ourselves. I searched to find one resource that would make it easy to plan, and eat a healthy, cancer-fighting diet, but this proved harder than it needed to be. So, thanks to my dear, “I love to cook” friend, Penny, we found all sorts of ways to introduce the “GOOD” food and replace it for the “bad” food we were eating in our diet. Thus, the idea of Mother Earth Meals was conceived~ to help cancer conscious people like us and overall genuinely health conscious people in general get through the day by making it easy to plan and prepare nutritional meals…just how Mother Earth intended!

My professional experience has been in the corporate world but my passion has always been cooking. From my very first cooking experience on the iconic Easy Bake Oven to my present, somewhat more sophisticated appliances, nothing fulfills me more than being in my kitchen, listening to my favorite music, cooking for family and friends. I can spend days scouring through recipes, planning meals and shopping for just the right ingredients.
Family history, personal experience and the dreaded aging have led me on a mission to do better nutritionally for myself, my family and friends. I have found a wealth of inspiration from my culinary heritages; from the exotic Greek flavors I first experienced at my YiaYia’s table to the vegetable-rich Southern foods enjoyed with multi-generations during Sunday supper. I have learned the possibilities for healthy and delicious foods are endless.
