Anniversary Wishes

Although this blog posting has nothing to do with Mother Earth Meals, it actually has everything to do with Mother Earth Meals.  Please indulge me.

Thirty-five years ago today, I married the man of my dreams, my soul mate, my best friend.  Yes, we were both very young, he was a dashing twenty- three year old,  2nd Lieutenant in the Air Force I met in high school;I was a young twenty-one year old college girl in love. Looking back, we had no concept what those wedding vows we professed truly meant.  Then, life passed quickly and fast forward thirty-five years later and I will tell you what they meant. For better or for worse – well, after so many years together, you are bound to see the best AND the worst of each other, so, check that. For richer or poorer – did I mention we were a young military couple with me still in college and bills to pay? Check that one. In sickness and in health – that’s the one we really didn’t see coming. But, check that on the list too.

As you may or may not know the story, when my husband was diagnosed with kidney cancer in 2010, our life took one of those unexpected detours.  Through modern medicine, and the support of family and friends, he has fought this battle with success and his prognosis is good. So, through the inspiration of this wonderful man, and his desire to live a long healthy life, Mother Earth Meals came to fruition.

So, for my groom of 35 years, this blog’s for you!  May you live a long, healthy life with me by your side, hopefully for at least another 35 years!

Well, let me be the first (at least in here) to congratulate you on reaching 35 years. We all know – it ain’t easy, and marriage ain’t for sissies.

And they lived happily ever after. Cheers!
